Is it wrong to practice heroes in qp?

Had a mercy going off at my friend who was a dva. She is new to the game and when I did tell them that she was new and requested them to have some patience after they talked badly about her, they would go ahead and flame her even more. It's Qp, what is wrong with them? Stats wise she was good but I know stats doesnt matter much in this game, but how can you be so shameless to go off flaming others when you know theyre practicing the hero, not comp, but in Qp?
