Tofu is really not that bad.

I'm not a vegetarian at all, I love some good fatty meats, but the way people talked about tofu made me think it was going to be the grossest thing ever and then I tried it and it was literally fine. I enjoy cooking with it because of its versatility and I like that it's cheap + easy to stock up on.

"It doesn't have any flavor until you season it though-" I think the same can be applied to a lot of foods. When you stock up on more than just salt and pepper, food just starts tasting better. I will not eat chicken that does not have solid seasoning. This does not mean I hate chicken, it just means I like my food to be flavored.

"It's not a good substitute for meat-" well yeah, cuz it's not supposed to be. It's a different food item. It's like if you wanted to substitute eggs for applesauce in a recipe that REALLY needs eggs. It doesn't mean that applesauce is bad, it just means that it is not eggs and it can be used in something else that will turn out better.

It's okay to not like any particular food and no one should be forced to eat something they don't like, but these two arguments confuse me cuz they seem like they have easy solutions to them or they're just not tofu-specific at all. Eat whatever you like to eat though guys, there is no good or bad food. Only food that you like.
