Tirzepatide made me hate prescriptions
Had my annual physical today. Doctor asked about my medication. He had prescribed Ozempic for me a year ago but I've been on the compound tirz train for a good 6 months.
Dr. asks when I switched, at what dosages, when I've titrated up. Dammit doc, I've been self-prescribing and self-medicating for months. Last time I ordered tirz, I lied about my dosage and didn't speak to a human. I'm self-administering half a dose every 4 days. Is that standard? No. Is it harmful? I don't think so. Do I feel comfortable interpreting the guidelines and developing a regimen for myself? Absolutely.
I wish we lived in a world where prescriptions didn't exist, except perhaps for controlled substances.
I felt like my tirz regimen was none of my doctor's business. Give me advice but let me make my own decisions.
