Isn’t tapit super risky?f

I saw B&D video on tapit and have a few questions regarding how safe it is. I use Apple Pay in the UK and before a payment is done by tapping, the user needs to authenticate the use by Face ID or pin. I’m sure it’s similar with other digital wallets like samsung etc.

Now with Tapit, how can they authenticate this? It’s a sticker with an embedded chip. So anyone could tap your sticker on a card reader and charge you. A card is generally safer in your wallet rather than pasted somewhere where it could be more easily accessible.

IMO this is a big no with me and any idea when lankan banks will support digital wallets like apple / samsung pay?
