What is the misunderstanding in your childhood?

( i am not talking about typical childhood stuff like santa, gonibilla, etc.) I am talking abut stuff that wrongly advertised and talk about confusing children ?? Here is mine- I thought politician personality fund roads and other public places. Because of the board I think in six grade i ask my dad about it ( i asked how those people so rich to build this many roads?) and he explains that actual all the money are taxpayers money but they act like they own it
