Is the bottom mount really that bad?
Hi,
I’ve had a 4090 Suprim Liquid since launch day and it’s always been configured at the bottom (see attached picture). I’ve never had an issue with noise or temperature and still don’t to this day, but I’ve recently come across the idea that it’s a bad mount because of the air bubbles going upwards.
I know it’s less than ideal, but what are the chances of significant damage? I’m thinking of getting the 9800x3D (which will require a full platform change with Mobo and Ram - currently rocking a 10850k and I play only single player 4k 120hz so I don’t even think it’s worth it atm) alongside a 360mm AIO (which I will front mount), so I could move the 4090’s fans to the top. Is this something I should do ASAP?
Thanks for any responses / input. If it matters at all, I will most definitely be getting the 6090 (or whatever the flagship is called day 1), so there’s only 2 more years of use in my current 4090.
