Male Vs Female Gaze

Okay, so I thought Saltburn was very thematic. Unpopular, popular opinion, I don't know, but I'll say this, I think Saltburn deserved an oscar over Promising Young Woman.

Everyone says it's because Saltburn is "grosse, inappropriate, graphic, etc."

Then, I see Anora & it's grosse, inappropriate & graphic, right?

What's the difference, other than the fact that Ivan made the (porno)graphic scenes "broish" or arguably pornographic?

Is it that we can celebrate female objectification & not male objectification, or is it that gay is still taboo in real life?
