I finally made the PERFECT vanilla!

I've been posting and asking here for a LONG time about trying to make an actually good vanilla base that was fat and low sugar. I've made other good flavors, but my vanillas were always disappointing and not at all ice cream tasting. I think my problem was either me disliking the taste of the pudding mix, yogurt/cream cheese in the recipe making it taste off, or some sort of combination. Well, after doing procrastinating, researching, and asking lots of questions, I finally decided to buy some xanthan gum. It was 100% the right move! I just followed a basic recipe for xanthan gum ice cream that used only skim milk, the gum, vanilla extract, sweetener, and salt, and it turned out perfect. It was just like a soft serve that I would get from dairy queen or something! I think I made it even better by using a vanilla flavored milk that I got from smiths rather than just using plain milk. I'll add some photos below :]

Bonus: Who needs a creami swirl when you can replicate a classic soft serve cone with a sandwich bag with the tip cut off and a dream ;D
