Anybody know what happened to aleron kong?

I was really enjoying the land series as they were coming out. But the books came to a cliffhanger stop and we have been waiting for like 4 years now I think. I know that he made another book shortly after called like "gods eye" or somthing and that one was really good to. But but what the heck. Why has he just stoped with the land...
