Have they fixed gank fights in the second game?

My impression of the first game is that the combat system is tailor made for and only for one on one duel on a flat ground.

Entire concept of the unique combat system completely breaks down in anything more than 1 on 1 duel on a flat ground. War sequence, gank fight, elevation, all just feel awkward and artificial. Enemies trying to run through you trying to 'realistically' stab you in the back, combat AI, path finding, and locking system completely breaks, making it feels like a bunch of people is trying to hump you as each individual AI try to set up a 'dueling' distance. If you're fighting on a hill the system just doesn't know what to do, and so on.
