Borrowing books online

Good evening. My mom gifted me a kindle for Christmas. For the first three months I get the kindle unlimited for free. After that I heard that you can ebooks borrow books from your local library. I’m in Canada and I don’t think Libby works here, unfortunately. Is there any other way to connect ebooks to my kindle without paying a monthly subscription or for the book itself. Would have to work either for Canada or Norway
