Help me find an everyday bag

Hello all!

I’m looking for a new “everyday” bag. My current bag is the Everlane form bag in green. (They don’t make it anymore but it’s like the Studio bag but a bit smaller). I’ve had it for 5+ years and get a lot of compliments but I’d like something a little bit smaller and not-green to add to the rotation.

The bag needs to fit a water bottle, book or iPad, chapstick, small wallet, phone, AirPods. It may include a bottle of breastmilk from time to time and it’s getting thrown in the bottom of a stroller, going on subway, etc.

Preferences: - I generally like portrait oriented more than landscape oriented bags (like the Studio bag) - needs a secure closing at the top. Ideally a zipper but a good snap or flap works too - HATE long cross body straps. This is a shoulder bag. I prefer thicker strap(s), the kind of thin spaghetti straps on bags can feel less secure/annoying but I could be convinced - I prefer no visible or identifiable branding

I’ve looked at Coach, Longchamp and Mulberry but I’m not finding the one.

I don’t really have a budget. I love the Gucci Jackie but I don’t think it’s right for me. But something like that that is a total classic, investment, icon, pass on to your grandchildren . . . I’d be willing to splurge. Otherwise I’d say $1000 or less is what I’m imagining.
