Why?! *ssstttrrretchinggg* weird stretch

I don't understand why it wants to stretch it this way. Every now and then it picks a photo and no matter how I crop it, it wants to stretch it super tall. It's infuriating. Any insight? (Picture 1 and 2 represent the issue, 3 and 4 are where it comes out normal. There are 2 other stacks of the same height and angle in where it worked fine)
