Any educators here?

Hi, I posted here a couple months ago after leaving islam. Safe to say i have fallen in love with my life again and working on forgiving myself and taking accountability for what I went through.

Working in education is the worst part of it though. Luckily my students have been fairly respectful and complimented my hair when I took off my hijab (i know, very privileged position to be in the west). The past few weeks I've been getting more "are you muslim?" (I assume this as more "are you STILL muslim?") I say "I don't want to discuss my private life". It's tough because I'm desperate to not be seen as a muslim ever again, but I don't want someone's parent complaining about me lol.

Are there any educators here? How do you deal with being neutral at work?
