It's good to have backup when you're a beginner...

My GCP E24 arrived last night and I gave it a quick boil and clean out so it would be ready for this morning. I organized my station, prepped my grinder, and tucked everything in for beddy bye. This morning I was excited to pull my first official fancy semi-auto shots. Preheat machine, weigh, grind, WDT, knock off the funnel and spill grounds, WDT again, tamp, tamp some more, even out my tamp, temp surf, lock in portafilter, 10 second shot. I guess I need to grind finer!

Repeat 5 more times, eventually getting to finest grind setting you've got. Still end up with a sour shot.

Switch back to pourover for the day. ☕
