Community Survey extended

We have received 56 responses to our survey so far. We were going to end the survey yesterday, but have decided to keep it open for another week so that more people have a chance to share their opinion. A few of the questions have really fluctuated with their responses, so please share your opinion! It's valuable! You can find the community survey here. (Email and google account info are not shared with us. It's anonymous.) If you are unable to fill out the form but would still like to participate, please message us your responses by the 12th and we will factor that into the stats.

We will leave it open for 7 more days and repost the survey link daily. Most of the questions are based on reports and messages we receive.

Some other updates:
- Posts must be flaired. With a handful of frequently reported users/posts, it is apparent that some users don’t want to see certain type of content. By filtering out flair, it means that the person won’t see those types of crafts and hopefully reports will go down. We've also noticed that the same few users receive the bulk of reports. You are able to block a user, which means you won't see what they post. Find more information here. (rule 10)
- No mass produced items unless you have a specific craft question about it or if the item has been modified. Items posted must be made by you or a person close to you (think roommate, family member, etc.). You can post crafts you’ve altered. For example, look at this post by u/lilpachycephalos. Or this recent question. Both of these posts are fine and don't violate this rule. Unfortunately, something we’ve recently realized is that there are some users who do make their own crafts, but will occasionally post mass-produced items to up their engagement so that users will then go check out their shop with their real crafts. We caution any user that tries this method that you will be banned if you ever post mass produced items as something handmade, no matter if you’ve posted your own unique content before. (added to rule 7)
- Dropshipping ‘crafts’ aren’t allowed. While this kinda falls under the ‘no mass produced items’, we want to draw specific attention to “crafts” that are posted by multiple users to either get enough upvotes to then sell their account or to get users to go to their shop. (added to rule 7)
- Pattern/inspiration attribution. A user is allowed to list their pattern/inspiration of their crafted item either in the title or comment of their post. See how these users attributed patterns but didn't directly link to a shop/social: 1, 2, 3. They do not list where to find the pattern or how to find it. It is a simple name or title of the pattern and name.
- AI art isn't allowed. We are a handmade subreddit. While we have a very open definition of 'craft', AI does not fit into that definition. You can use AI as inspiration, but it cannot be the main craft that is in your post. (added to rule 7)

Once the survey closes, we'll post the results and update the rules to reflect what the community wants. As always, leave a comment with any questions/comments/concerns.
