8 week old constantly unlatching and screaming

This started happening a couple weeks ago and is now constant, some odd feds he won’t do it.

He will latch and suck for a few minutes, maybe 3-4, then unlatch and cry, as I try to re latch him he latches and the sucking gets less and less until he immediately unlatches himself and screams, the crying getting worse and worse. If I switch breasts, he does the same thing, sucks for maybe 2-3 minutes, then his patience or whatever runs out.

He never does it at night.

This is really distressing and getting me down, it makes feeding so unpleasant.

After this happens I stop completely and try to distract him and it works. He eventually forgets all about it and seems fine until 2 or more hours later when it’s time to repeat that cycle.

I’ve tried different positions to no avail.

I’m mainly worried he’s not getting enough, could he really be full from such short feeding sessions? He has always been a fast 5-10 minute feeder apart from when he’s cluster feeding…

Nappies are all fine and I’m getting him next weighed on Tuesday to confirm that’s okay …

Mainly though this is just depressing and causing a miserable experience all around
