Beautiful quotes from "The Pizza Delivery Man and the Golden Palace"
"What does it mean to understand someone? To me, it's a form of despair.." - Woo-Won
"Effort became an instinct to fill the void in my heart" - Woo-Won
"I grew up to simply doing what had to be done, and this led me further away from the things I truly desired, to be honest I never even realized that I was losing myself in that way. It just felt natural to me.. natural to not think about what I liked or wanted." - Woo-Won
"Resignation disguised as understanding is nothing more than self-torment".
"I despised the person I see when I looked into my father's eyes, because my life as reflected on them appeared worthless". -Seo-An
"What is the point of responsibility, if you have to trample your own self-respect in order to protect it?" -Seo-An
"It's a whimsical feeling... That makes me want to revisit the roads I was once forced to pass by "- Woo-Won
"Every decision has a gain and a loss, but choosing what you want adds weight to what you gain," Seo-An
"You know when you're feeling empty? Empty because you used to love many things but now have nothing?" -Woo-Won
"Don't be so kind.." "why not?" "because... I'm afraid I'll get used to it.." - Woo-Won & Seo-An
This is the BL manga with some of the most meaningful writing I have seen so far. The depth of the pain they experience and what they are thinking and feeling, is so beautiful and relatable. I love it so much ❤️
Also featuring this scene when Seo-An looks at his shadow elongated against the wall almost like a mirror of the darkness within him. I did not expect this much arting in a BL and I am happily surprised ❤️
I love to know if anyone else related or felt inspired by the beauty and meaning behind this story too~ At first I was caught of guard by the almost gray-scale coloring choice of the manhwa. But in retrospect, it was probably an artistic choice, and it's beautifully done 🤗
