Showing my Dad AOT for the first time. Finished season 1, should we skip to season 3 and four with a recap of 2 or also watch 2?

We don’t have a ton of time, and I’m worried that he will lose interest in the show with the second season. Not that it was particularly bad, but it isn’t as strong as the other three imo. Any thoughts?
