Troponins keep going up
Canada is famous for crappy health care. If you disagree, read the following:
Went to the ER with BP 214/140
Stayed 6+ hours and my troponins went up from 120 to 195 to 254 to 448
First they promised that they will try to stabilize me after the 3rd increase but they didn't do shit, so I got angry and I said:
"I'm type 2 diabetic, high BP, 52, and all you are doing is blood work? Not even an X-ray, no echocardiogram,.... " So since I was hungry and they gave me nothing to eat, I left. When I checked my last troponin test online, I went back to the ER.
I had to start registering from the beginning. Upon completion the nurse said, she'll talk to the doctor to send me to do an echocardiogram. 4 hours later, the doctor saw me and agreed to send me for echo but he said: "the cardiology people are gone now. Stay here. maybe tomorrow (Friday) maybe Monday I'll get you in."
I said: "if I stay, what will you do to stop the damage?" We'll just monitor you.
Long story short: "Appointment is on March 7"
So, what do I do with my elevating troponins until March 7?
Thank you
