Why did they silent nerf Alter?

When Alter came out in S21 one problem with the void nexus was that enemies could also go through it by using a portal that you or your teammate made going through it.. But I remember that you could destroy the void nexus at any time. Why did they make it to where you can’t destroy your own void nexus anymore?
