Can anyone recommend me a truly scary anime.

I’m under the assumption that it’s not possible for an anime to scare me. Though I’ve not given it a try. I’ve seen plenty of non anime horror movies but I believe that an anime couldn’t scare mainly because it’s an animation, rather then detailed CGI monster crawling out of the bed.

I was hoping to get started on the right track to having nightmares. Please recommend me the scariest anime you can think of.

Edit: Wow this took off, I’ll try to respond to everyone. Currently on ep 11 of Another. Started off creepy but got less with every episode as information comes to light, still a good anime and worth a watch if you like paranormal/mystery.

Edit2: finished shin sekai yori, 7.5/10 but it was not scary at all. Not sure what episode you guys thought was suppose to be. It was good but the show did feel dull, the energy, the characters, the world. Maybe it was just me though
