How I'd rewrite the bank heist mission line

As much as I love GTA VC, the Malibu asset missions feel kinda ridiculous now that I think about it. Particularly hiring Phil and Hilary. Like, what's the point of hiring them if the whole objective of their missions is to prove you're better than them? Not to mention the heist itself, where Cam still needs to speak to the manager in order to crack the safe, Phil fails with keeping the hostages and Hilary barely even drives (and dies shortly after). Like really, the whole heist was a disaster that only really succeeded because Tommy is a demigod one-man army.

First of all, Phil and Hilary's missions - instead of beating them in order to hire them, you'd instead have to lose by a thin margin. For Hilary's mission, you could even get a car that actually can compete. Because if you can beat Hilary's Sabre Turbo with a mere Sentinel, that makes him extra useless.

For the heist itself, how about having the bank having some backdoor? After robbing the bank, you head there and Hilary comes and ACTUALLY DRIVES. This would trigger the section of the mission that's a rail shooter, similar to "Phnom Penh '86", "Supply & Demand", but most similar to "Reuniting the Families" from SA. Instead of going for a respray and finishing the mission, it'd be a whole next part of the mission where the group drives around the Vice City Mainland in a police chase. IMO, it would be much more interesting and most importantly, Hilary wouldn't be completely pointless.
