Sky and Anut Julia were totally the result of lazy writing.

I know a lot of people had negative reactions when Sky was introduced as a main character for the second season but my dislike for Sky comes from the show's tendency to not fully develop characters other than Belly, Jer, and Con. I mean, what will the show do with Sky and Julia in the third season. Will Sky disappear without explanation? It feels like Sky's storyline peaked in the boardwalk episode and then they were kinda just there. This brings me to Julia. Instead of introducing Julia as an antagonist, they could have utilized Mr. Fisher in that role. Maybe it's because I don't like it when shows introduce a character solely to advance the plot. If the show truly needed a "villain," I think it would have made more sense to use the realtor, especially given the implication in the books that Mr. Fisher also got involved with the realtor, if they really wanted a one-season antagonist.
