A fellow European wonders

Hej allihopa, First of all, It’s a very sad day for Sweden so I wish to express my condolences. I write here today out of concern for my neighbours, I’m curious to understand what’s happening rn with your society and political climate in light of recent events.

I come from southern Europe,and to us you guys up in Scandinavia have always been an example of civility and a model for a just welfare state,but recently the news are portraying Sweden as out of control, they are calling you “the rape capital of Europe” and Malmö has gotten itself quite the reputation for gang violence and now this shooting is truly shocking for everyone in Europe ( we simply don’t have this sort of problems usually).

Now, I realise news reports in my country might be heavily biased against immigration since we have a right-leaning government, so I figured I’d get my informations straight from the horse’s mouth

Do you feel Sweden has drastically changed in the past few years? Has the quality of life dropped? Do you think you have a poverty problem ? Is it really this bad(probably not)? Tell me what the political climate is like…
