Missing downloaded files

So I tried playing half life 2 but then could not play it saying I was missing downloaded files. I then try this with all my other steam games...same results. The only ones not having trouble with this are the non-steam games I added. I also notice on the download files there is a fail download for this thing called Steam Linux runtime 2.0 (solider) I tried verifying the integrity files for that thing and I got nothing. No files need to be changed whatsoever.

So I'm lost. Please help.
