FDR Overrated?

Just my two cents, but is he really deserving of the praise he gets both from historians and in this very reddit?

He picked a segregationist for his first VP. His new deal programs effectively shut out anyone who wasn't white from receiving most of the benefits. Put a KKK member on the Supreme court. And for a cherry on top, supported Woodrow Wilson, white supremacy and all. Those are just a few grievances to air.

And there's been plenty debates by historians on how effective the new deal programs were in stimulating the economy because the transition into a war time economy for WW2 has been argued as the true cause of the economic boom.

I know plenty of his fan boys may say I'm hating, but it irks me when people downplay the civil rights records of president's like its a secondary concern. Human rights should never take a backseat or be overlooked because of other accomplishments.
