Old vs new pimsleur, am I making a mistake

Ya'll, I'm so confused about the different editions of pimsleur, I've heard some people say that all they did was fix the audio and the pacing but that the content was the same.

I have the old audio only versions, so when I found out that revised versions existed I went to check it out and literally in the first lesson they use a different word to describe "person". Does anyone have experience with both audio versions or can tell me if I should continue with this old one or invest in the new one, I'm not that far along so it wouldn't deter my progress too much but it would still feel crappy if I have to restart my progress because the old one is outdated or something.

This is what I mean, in the old version:

あなたはアメリカ人ですか。

Anata wa Amerika jin desu ka. (I'm aware that あなた is usually omitted I'm just writing down what they teach in the audio)

New version:

アメリカの方ですか。

Amerika no kata desu ka.

PS: I don't have the app just the old CD audio recordings. Also, I only listened to the first lesson of the 2021 version so idk if there are more differences in vocabulary in other lessons.
