Does anyone ever buy cars with credit cards?
This isn't something that I'm seriously considering but my current vehicle is 8 years old and I've racked up 255km mostly commuting. Not sure exactly when but at some point in the next couple of years there is a decent chance I will be looking for a new used vehicle.
My reason for asking is because used car loan rates are pretty high right now.
I was thinking it could potentially be a neat financial hack to purchase a used vehicle out right using whatever card would yield the most rewards - I'm thinking Rogers WE? Then using my MBNA True Line for a 2% balance transfer fee and one year 0% interest.
If I did do this, I would only finance an amount that I could pay off in the one year period to avoid interest.
Just wondering what people think of the idea, and would it even work?
