Regarding Trump Canada Invasion worries - don't be worried
Short answer: America will be committing gauranteed suicide and would never ever do it, Canadians, please stop worrying about something less likely than being eaten by a shark on land. Here's why:
Military Response: Canada would defend itself, but the U.S. vastly outmatches it. However, NORAD would give early warnings, and NATO allies (UK, France, Germany) would be forced to retaliate under Article 5. The US would just be obliterated by a load of externally, might I add, nuclear capable countries.
U.S. Internal Chaos: The U.S. military swears loyalty to the Constitution, not the president. Many would refuse illegal orders. Congress would likely impeach Trump, and mass protests could erupt. Some states might even consider secession. Americans don't have a chip on their shoulder about Canada that Russia does with Ukraine as well.
Global Fallout: The U.S. dollar could collapse, and trade sanctions would cripple the economy. Canada cutting off oil and gas could trigger an energy crisis. The U.S. would become a pariah state. (Meaning they lose all their allies and are now floating in the open ocean. Nobody will want to be friends with a country that will betrays them on a whim)
Possible Outcomes: Trump would likely be removed before things escalated. If not, NATO could launch a counteroffensive, turning it into a full-scale (possibly) nuclear war. Either way, the U.S. would lose global influence, and its internal stability would be at risk at best, and at worst, total nuclear annihilation.
It ain't happening. Its just blowing gas. It'll be over before you realise.
