Does anyone think that Omori is a tragic character? Not referring to Sunny, or the game Omori, the CHARACTER OMORI.

Think about it: Omori was created by Sunny to be the "perfect" version of himself that he wished himself to be so that he could make Mari happy, even after her death. Throughout the story, although he is the antagonist, he's actually trying to protect Sunny. His entire purpose is to hide the truth from Sunny, but not to hurt him, but rather to ensure that neither of them have to relive the trauma of what Sunny did.

Omori only did what he did because he was literally made to do it. He doesn't hate Sunny, he's doing what his flawed perception believes is best for them both. He simply doesn't understand that Sunny can only recover from his trauma by learning to accept the truth, forgiving himself and moving on.

I personally go with the theory that Omori is mostly a separate entity from Sunny, and as such is an actual character, not just a plot device to represent Sunny's depression. Combined with the in-game evidence we have that Headspace already existed before Mari's death, I really hope that we get some kind of confirmation that Omori kinda sticks around after the good/true/canon ending. I personally headcanon that Omori genuinely realised the error of his ways and actually tries to help Sunny like an emotional support goober.

or maybe I just like the monochrome goober too much lol
