The Top Draft Picks are starting to settle in.
Most draftclasses start with a clear top 10 players of interest, then we find more out about them.
Now it's February.
Cooper Flagg's first 5 games didn't wow me. Looked only fundamental. No bounce or dominance. Now he is commanding the ball, no distractions, yet works with what the defence gives him, cashing shot creation and now we're seeing the poster dunks. He is comfortable.
People started talking Ace Bailey "Top 10 i guess...". Now he's in kill mode, the team is winning, multiple 35+ pt games. Big dunks, helpside blocks and now he's carrying this crappy team on games they need to win. Showing the Golden State KD 'formula'.
Harper has just been awesome all season and of course had a lot of hype at even #1. Looks like a great huge PG like Harden.
Everyone saw VJ Edgecombe's athleticism, now his versatility and shooting are looking Top 3/4 in any draft. The Russ comparisons are too obvious not to make, before he just was a bit more of a 'Denis Smith' unpredictable boom/bust. He seems to even have games where he looks to shoot all night and it's justified.
On the converse a player like Egor Demin has seen a drop that would take a significant leap to restore value anywhere close to top 5.
Very excited to see what happens in the 3rd act here now.
