Can you be trans based on what you're attracted to?

I'm AMAB, attracted to women and, at times, think I'm trans because my brain has mixed wires. Meaning, because I'm attracted to women, I want to look like one because that's what my brain assigns beauty to.

Is there any research about this, or even personal experience from anyone here?

I'm finding myself to still be pushing back against being trans, even though I've suspected it for years and am just confused at this point.
