I'm nosey and curious about how other clinics work.
How much do you pay per dose? Is your clinic private or state run? What's your dose? What's the max dose your clinic allows you to take? How long have you been at your clinic? Are you a lifer? How do you like it? Do you feel like it's liquid handcuffs or are you okay being on it? Does anyone else know you're on it or do you keep it a secret? Have you ever met your clinic owner? Does your clinic care about you and your health?
I pay $10 a day or $140 every 2 weeks. My husband pays $7 per day cause he is new and newbies get a grant for the first year or so. It's $5 per day for people on Medicaid. They don't take private ins or Medicaid. We have to submit that ourselves if we want reimbursement. Medicaid still owes me thousands of dollars cause I submitted everything during my time on aid. I have private ins now tho so no savings for me. Plus they do allow us to smoke weed and get up to 13 takehomes. So I can't be mad about that cause I smoke weed. My clinic is private and the doc owns it. I take 120 a day and our clinic limit is 120. The doc believes anything over 120 is just an overload. Idk if he is right or wrong. I think if you need to go up at 120 cause you feel like shit, they should believe you. I am a lifer and am 100% okay with being a lifer. I am In my 50s and it's damn near impossible to get the good shit these days. My friend has to travel 200 miles to come back home to see her doc cause no one else will give her Oxycontin. So believe me I am okay. Everyone knows I am on methadone. I find no shame in being a recovering addict. I look at it like having diabetes. I did it to myself and I have to be on insulin for the rest of my life. That's my issue and I will deal with it. All of my closest friends are recovering addicts. Yes I am seemingly always getting in trouble so I am always in the principles office it seems. I just got diagnosed with diabetes and had a diabetic seizure (which I have never had before that's how we found out) so I was in the principles office just a couple days ago. The owner is great, he is a super nice guy who truly cares about his patients. All of them. I also got lucky with my counselor too. I didn't mean to be so nosey but I am so curious about others and their clinics and if I am just a weirdo who actually likes the people I deal with?
