What do y’all want leagues to be?

Most posts on this sub at the launch of every event are just exaggerated salt and vitriol about the event. some people’s feelings are hurt seeing a negative number after a game, but aside from that - how would you change this? And tbh if they removed the loss penalty the people who no life this game would still win so I have nothing against removing that feature.

It’s meant to be a “competitive” mode. I see people wishing they could “opt out” but it’s literally free boosters no matter what so I don’t see the benefit of that.

I see complaints about it being unfair to people with jobs - that’s just the nature of any game, ever though. You have less time to play a game, you get less things in game/are less good at the game because you can’t play as often.

There’s complaints that proving grounds count towards leagues, but if they didn’t, no one would play conquest (an already depopulated mode)

I’m 20th in my league (probably lower during the 3 minutes I took to write this) and have no dreams of getting top 3, but hey it’s free boosters, and the top players play a shit ton - why shouldn’t they get slightly more stuff? The rest of the game is time independent mostly anyway.

It’s an event that is not pay to win, a common complaint, and the big prize is an emote, not even a card.

Do I think leagues are great? No, but they’re certainly not terrible. It’s a pretty neutral event that’s completely ignorable because the prizes are mediocre. It’s 2 days long so if you hate it, you won’t have to see it in a few hours. And they toned down the prizes from the original advertised pay to win version, which means they listened to complaints

Edit: a very valid point about win trading in conquest has been brought up, and I absolutely agree that it’s an exploit that should have been noticed. Other valid points I see are that you should get a set number of games, which I can see the benefit of, though the time of the event would need to be increased, and would people consider that a chore to finish all your games in a set amount of time?
