Hostel allotment for someone with backlogs.

I am clearing one sem 1 subject along with my current sem 2 subjects, hence my gpa right now is pretty low.

During hostel allotment will I not get a hostel at all? Is it possible for me to apply for a block at the end of sem 2 with an improved cgpa?
