Common Japanese figures of speech that would make no sense in English?

I know there are some phrases that carry over (e.g. '手を貸す' meaning to lend a hand) but what are some that if literally translated, the meaning would not be obvious (e.g. '猫舌’ meaning to not be able to eat hot food). Thanks!
