Movies that Joe Bob and Darcy said they would like to have on the show
Throughout the series, Joe Bob and Darcy have mentioned some movies that they would like to eventually have on The Last Drive-In. I have compiled a list of ones that have not aired yet, since this could mean they probably requested those to Shudder and may show up this season or in the future. Please comment if there are some that are not listed on here that you know of, or any other film predictions you may have!
From Joe Bob:
-Village of the Giants (1965) Mentioned in a post mourning the loss of Bert I. Gordon. He says he had put a request in to have it on the show.
-The Sentinel (1977) Mentioned during the season 5 finale (The Living Dead at Manchester Morgue)
-Audrey Rose (1977) and The Entity (1982) Mentioned during the Dark Night of the Scarecrow episode. (Season 5 Week 7)
-Night of the Living Dead (1990) Mentioned during the Maniac episode (Season 2 Week 2)
-Howling 7 (1995) Mentioned on Geek Tawk podcast (thanks u/DwightYoakamHat for pointing this one out
-Willard (2003) Not sure where it was mentioned but I do recall vaguely Joe Bob saying so. Thanks u/Chance_X74 for pointing it out.
From Darcy:
-The Wicker Man (1973) Mentioned on a podcast (forget which)
-The Burning (1981) and Scream (1996) Mentioned on Jericho's podcast.
-Halloween 3 (1982) Mentioned: countless times
-Thanksgiving (2023) and Thankskilling (2008) Mentioned on a patreon podcast. Thanks u/Serious-Mission-127 for pointing it out.
-Sleepaway Camp 2 (1988) Mentioned during the Things episode (Season 3 Week 8). Thanks u/j7oshua for pointing it out.
-Santa's Slay (2005) Mentioned on a podcast. Thanks u/itsagrungething69 for pointing it out.
What's interesting about Savini's NOTLD is that its supposedly getting a directors cut this year. Sony is taking care of the release and theres no date announced for it yet so its a long shot that it would be on the show this season but definitely one I'd love to see.
