Will the UK housing system ever change/reform?

I’ve just been pondering on the subject while we anxiously wait to exchange… The mental detriment home buying has is simply not healthy. I’d love to see the system be overhauled and be like the Scottish system/other systems overseas. The unknown and insecurity is too stressful and it’s too up in the air. I don’t know too much about the politics surrounding it so thought it would be an interesting discussion.
