Redeemed a-holes

Looking for recommendations for books where the MMC or FMC is a total a-hole at the start. Like, entitled rude aristocrats or snobby debutantes. Grumpy loners in the extreme. Mostly because I then want to read about them getting violently humbled and put in their place so they learn to become better people. Please send the jerks my way!

Edited to add: I shamelessly love scenes where one character says or does something rude or cruel to the other and then has to make up for that (see: Southwell in Forgetting the Earl gets involved in a cruel wager to dance with “the most hideous girl” at the ball and picks FMC, even though he tries to stop it later she still gets hurt and then he eats dirt making up for it)

Books I’ve read that fit this: {Flaming June by Emma V. Leech} {The Devil is a Marquess by Elisa Braden} {Forgetting the Earl by Kathleen Ayers}
