Half Day Island Trips out of Athens

I’ll be living in Athens for a few weeks this spring and working at night (need to be home around 3pm each day)

How realistic would it be to try to wake up early and do day trips to islands from Athens and still make it back to work on time?

I know it will be rushed and obviously won’t get the full experience but want to cover as much ground as possible and see as many places as I can while I’m there.
