Diminutives for baby

I want to come up with a cute nickname to call my soon to be born son. I’m a native English speaker with exposure to Spanish and am currently learning French. With that, I’m familiar with the suffix -ito and uses of diminutives in Spanish. I’ve tried to read up on it, but the general consensus appears to be that diminutives are rarely used in French anymore, excluding the ones that are already well established. Regardless, I want to try to find/come up with a diminutive for gift(cadeau). However, with the numerous options for masculine diminutive suffixes and no good examples, I’m at a bit of a loss. Any suggestions or guidances would be greatly appreciated.
