Severe OAS, reactions to soy but blood tests come back negative.

Hi there!

Was wondering if anyone had something similar. I have severe OAS to most fruits, veggies, etc with mild anaphylaxis (i.e Not a level of needed an epipen but we are just below that). I've also tested positive for Almonds, Hazelnuts, and localized reactions to peanuts.

This is something ive dealt with since childhood but it's seemly gotten worse as I've gotten older, one thing I am confused about is that I have reactions to soy in almost all cases (anything with Soy Lectin or Soy Milk is a HARD NO) but I can have tofu when its cooked (i.e Silk Tofu Soup or really well cooked tofu in a dish). My blood tests (All done by my doctors) always come back negative for soy even though its always high for everything else that I know I have reactions to as well (again all of the pollens, grasses, nuts, etc).

They said it may be that I'm not actually allergic to the soy but having a cross reaction to it because of the tree nuts... which are a cross reaction of pollen (cross reaction galore).

It's not too much of an issue as I just add it to the overall list of things to avoid / ask about if I am eating out but yeah. But yeah I found this very interesting and was wondering if someone was in a similar case?
