What are your thoughts on using Leyline Stones for boss battles? Have you ever used them?

I, personally, haven’t. It’s my idea of struggling alongside Master and the Servants, retrying again and again with new strategies even if it takes dozens of turns and pain. Master fought Goetia all alone, after all. I don’t wish to take the easy way out by popping a revive stone against bosses, it just feels wrong and…non-canon(??) to me.

Though I understand the gaming experience is different for everyone) Some don’t have suitable Servants/CEs/Mystic codes or haven’t leveled them up enough, some simply don’t have time due to irl stuff or a story-locked event, some just don’t want to bother. I respect everyone’s opinion.

What made me think abt this thing in the first place was, watching a FGO YouTuber who kept using the stones while fighting a certain boss in LB7 even after giving up and looking up the guide. The fight is /not/ easy by any means, but doable if you pay attention and remember the previous fights against that same boss - the skills, the class advantage and etc. I don’t have issue with them using the Leyline Stones though. It’s just a bit infuriating that they blamed the game, not themself, for having to use the stones. “The story should’ve hinted that the first bar break would add removable #####, then I’d have known what to bring to my party. Also this fight is impossible without a guide”, or sth like that. I couldn’t help but feel angry. For whom? I don’t even know ʅ(◞‿◟)ʃ
