Do you all think that the fandoms discourse reflects the stories quality?

The majority here will preach how COTE is a masterpiece with deep and complex characters but those same people will only engage in horny posting or power scaling while glossing over posts that actual try to discuss the themes, characters, theories etc.

It would be hard for you to scroll on this page and not find at least one or two horny fanarts of one of the female characters but it will take you a good while finding a post actually discussing that said female character.

The difference is night and day a lewd pic of ichinose or another female character gets 500 upvotes no problem with a bunch of degenerate comments but a post dedicating some paragraphs on a character will get 20 or something at most.

Also don't even get me started on all these flairs. I want to say that it is just a vocal minority but if I observe the upvotes every time somebody post nsfw content, I start thinking otherwise.

And god forbid you say COTE is mediocre (you can still love a story and admit it shortcomings), you will just get downvoted and accused of "not getting" it. They are people on here who will defend every single decision the author made saying it all makes sense at was all planned and not rushed at all. It is not like Kinu is getting forced to pump out volumes every 4 months but ok.
