Fiio DM13 vs Pro-Ject - CD Box E

Hi everyone, I am looking for a somewhat budget CD player that I can use on my PC table. It won't be my main setup so one having slightly better sound quality won't be that much of a factor. What I am concerned about is that the Pro-Ject one has a slot-in mechanism compared to the Fiio. I heard slot-ins can scratch CDs, what do you all think?
