Am I entitled to anything?
Can someone who's a bit clued in please help.
I went back to work after a year of mat leave and was promptly made redundant by the company who was employing me prior as they are struggling financially.
My child was (and still is) going to nursery full time and has been since June. We didn't apply for childcare as my partner makes a lot of money and we thought we werent eligible. Now that I've lost my job I thought we would be eligible as one of us works less than 16 hours a week (a grand total of 0), this is what we'd been told by nursery when being chased for a code back at the start of this term. Turns out as soon as I tick "I do not work" or "my partner does not work" we are not eligible for the free childcare hours.
So am I entitled to any financial help at all re nursery costs? Or am I expected to stuff it, pull him out and never work again??
