Is it ok to you if not everyone likes Beserk?

Im someone who every now and then,thinks a lot about whether to get into certain popular manga or not.Beserk being a minor one.Ive looked at an analysis of Casca,and looked at what people like about Beserk.I dont mind things that are ultra violent,or even serious topics,but im a bit iffy about the rape(Im not censoring it) stuff,as i dont wont to go into something and see it played for shock value.

Ive even watched a video on someone being indifferent towards Beserk,and thats kinda how i feel.On one,i dont mind a more mature work.But on the other,i dont want the hype to let me down and Beserk not being for me.I guess its because i like work that is dark,but not too dark.
