Enjoy the game.

I joined this subreddit in hopes to maybe squad up with some people, laugh at some videos, find a few tips and tricks, etc. mostly it’s non stop complaining about EVERYTHING. It’s not just here either, its on YouTube as well. It seems like everyone is just riding the Activision hate for some clout.

I get it, the game has its flaws, but do those flaws make it completely unplayable? The answer truly is no.. these are minor inconveniences. Meaning they don’t happen every single match. I’m not defending Activision, they should have had their shit together from the start. The game literally felt like a beta for the entire first season and still has some beta like moments. However, they at least are not completely ignoring everything that has been complained about.

I guess I’m one of the few that actually enjoy the game. My biggest complaint is not being able to fine tune my look movement speed like in mw3. If I want 1.36 movement speed I should be able to have it.

I haven’t had to deal with a lot of cheaters. My bullets usually don’t turn to marshmallows. The skill based match making isn’t too bad.. I don’t mind playing against people of similar skill. These challenges have allowed me to adopt new play styles and I think I improved as a player overall.

TLDR: Game is good, not the best call of duty, but an enjoyable one for the most part.

Some quick tips: If people aren’t playing objective, hop on ranked and get to the higher ranks. I’m in platinum now and I have not been in a match without mics. Every single person plays the objective about 90% of the time because no one wants to be demoted. Gold was hit and miss, some people are going to be hard stuck there forever.

If you’re playing casual and you’re getting destroyed by spawn campers, smoke grenades go hard in those moments. Even if you don’t make it out maybe your teammates will.

Take your time to understand the enemy, most people are stuck in their playing styles. If you keep getting killed in the same spot over and over you’re doing something wrong. Adapt to your enemy and flanking them is going to help your team also be able to move up. You have an entire arsenal at your disposal. Create different classes for different scenarios.

Watch your team and where they go, cover the paths where no teammates are. You may get overrun but you also may take out a few and an entire enemy team won’t be able to push to your spawn.

Use the trophy system for objective based games. It’s valuable in not getting blown off the objective or blinded and squad wiped.

Mark enemies that are out of your engagement range. Use the tac map if you have to. Countless times I’ve been killed by some random in the back corner of the map and if you don’t have a mic (like I did when I first started playing) open up your tac map after dying and mark the location. You’ll see at least 1 of your teammates look that direction and head over.

If you feel like your aim sucks take some time in a private match with bots on regular difficulty and play until you feel like the aiming is good for your style.

Last tip, which is a big one for me at least. I literally cannot play on my 65” tv. I have to play on my computer monitor. The difference is insane. This may not apply to everyone and I don’t know what it is specifically but I play on my pc screen and everything is way smoother. Aiming and moving are WAY better. I’ve confirmed this with another squad member too.

Please use the comments to post some of your tips too, curious to know what everyone else has discovered.
