Script Extender

Ive been modding my game for a while, the spells are starting to get repetative and I was looking at using the 5e spells mod. In my mod manager it tells me to install the scrpit extender, I am happy to install it but i have a playthough going with a friend that is unmodded.

My quetion is, if I install the scrpit extender will I still be able to swap back to an unmodded version of the game easily?
